The US Air Force Mission Planning Systems (MPS) is a collaborative Department of Defense (DoD) program that leverages technical solutions and practices for all DoD aerial platforms. MPS enables mission planners to create a flight plan based on multiple inputs including threats, targets, terrain, weather, aircraft performance capability, configuration, and other factors. The planner/aviator utilizes appropriate computing devices to accomplish the mission. The government intends to purchase as few as 561 but as many as 1,666 laptop computers. These laptops are used on the ground in austere environments sheltered from inclement weather and will have access to basic heating and air conditioning. The form and fit of this completed unit will consist of a mobile workstation with required peripherals. Items are strictly prohibited from being equipped with built-in wireless communication (e.g. WiFi, Bluetooth), built in microphones, and cameras. All items purchased shall require a unified tailored warranty with a term of four years. During the warranty period the government shall not allow the return of any component with the capability to store user data. See attached Statement of Work (SOW) for the technical requirements for this effort as well as RFI for instructions on
