THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE POSTED ON OR ABOUT MARCH 31, 2022.PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Work covered in the Contract Documents generally includes deferred maintenance at the Fish Creek Wildlife Observation Site. Work items include the demolition and replacement of existing timber boardwalk posts and hardware as well as repair of a sinkhole in the paved parking area. The site is an active brown bear and black bear area in a remote location without communications. The site is adjacent to an anadromous stream requiring protection from construction impacts. Minimize impacts or potential harm to wildlife, the creek, existing recreation facilities to remain, and the surrounding landscape. The Contractor shall assume all risk, loss, damage, or expense arising out of prosecution of the work, except as otherwise provided in the contract.PROJECT LOCATION: This project is located in the Tongass National Forest, Salmon River Road, approximately 3 miles from, Hyder, AK, US, 99923Contractors shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, materials,transportation, supplies (unless specified elsewhere as Government-furnished),and incidentals required to accomplish specified work in compliance with the terms, specifications, and provisions of the contract.
