The Ada County Historic Preservation Council has been awarded a Certified Local Government (CLG) Grant to update Ada County’s Historic Preservation Plan for cultural and historic resources. The current plan (attached as Exhibit B) was completed in 2007. Since that time Ada County has experienced significant growth. The goal of the update is to reflect current conditions in the County as well as to make the plan easier to read and understand by a lay person and to adopt new best practices for

our historic preservation efforts. Attached as Exhibit C is a list of Historic Preservation Council resources. We are seeking an historic preservation planner who meets the minimum qualifications for Historic Preservation Planning by the Department of Interior, Secretary of the Interior’s Historic Preservation Professional Qualification Standards: Federal Register Vol. 62, No. 119, P. 33719, 1997 (36 CFR part 61) in least one of the following fields: Architectural History; Historic Architecture; Historic Preservation Planning; or History.
