Progressive Design-Build San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge Suicide Deterrent

1.4 Project Opportunity The Project is located on Route 75 (PM R20.1/R22.3) and Route 5 (R13.8/R14.3) in the cities of Coronado and San Diego in San Diego County. This project will design and construct a suicide deterrent, bridge bay enclosures, and CCTV monitoring cameras in accordance with the selected alternative and parameters included in the Final Environmental Document (FED) and Project Report. A more detailed description of the Project is contained in Appendix A. The estimated cost of this PD-B Project (in 2022 US Dollars) is $33,000,000 for project support, $94,800,000 for construction capital and $331,000 for Right of Way capital. 2 Procurement Schedule Final Date for Receipt of Proposers Questions May 7, 2024 SOQ Due Date for Electronic and Hardcopy Submittal May 21, 2024 Notice of Short List July 3, 2024 Proposer Interviews July 18, 2024 Anticipated Ranking Determination July 24, 2024 4.2 Quantities, Due Date, Time, and Location: The original and an electronic submittal of

the SOQ shall be provided. The Original shall be identified on its front cover, in the upper right-hand corner as Original. In addition to the above, Proposers shall also include two (2) electronic copies of the entire SOQ submittal package (except for the Preconstruction Services Cost Proposal) in PDF format, each on a separate USB flash drive with the original. All SOQs shall be received by 3 p.m. Pacific Time on the day specified in Section 2.- Procurement Schedule, unless modified by Addenda. For hand-delivered SOQ submittals to Sacramento, call Belinda Hon, at (916) 995-9308 to prearrange the day and time for SOQ hand delivery. Please refer to the RFQ for goal requirement and attachments for licensing requirements for this contract. Unfortunately, the Department does not have a plan holders list of available proposers, nor does it have a way of identifying companies or entities that may have downloaded the project documents for teaming purposes. It is the responsibility of the consultants/subs/vendors to identify teams that may be submitting a Statement of Qualifications. The Department will allow the use of text with font size smaller than 12-point for only charts, tables, exhibits, and other illustrative and graphical information. Addendum 1 - This addendum is to replace the original RFQ posted and for the Department to respond to questions submitted by proposers. Addendum 2 - This addendum is for the Department to respond to questions submitted by proposers. Addendum 3 - In this Addendum the Department is providing updates to the RFQ, it also provides responses to concerns submitted by proposers. Addendum 4 - This addendum is to provide responses and clarify sections in the RFQ pertaining to the conflict-of-interest policies/provisions. Addendum 5 - This addendum is to correct the language written in Section 1.9 ¿Conflict of Interest¿ paragraph 4 to the RFQ posted in Addendum 4.
