The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) has assumed the responsibilities of the Federal Highway Administration under 23 U.S.C. 327 and is soliciting comments and information on a proposal to rehabilitate and upgrade Hollywood Road from Vine Road to Big Lake Road in Wasilla, Alaska. The purpose of the proposed project is to extend the service life of the facility and enhance safety.The proposed work would include:Resurfacing Hollywood Road between Vine Road and Big Lake Road Repairs to road structural sections at select locations Improvements to drainage facilities, including ditches and culverts Replacement or repair of guardrail and guardrail end treatments Replacement or repair of signs and striping Resurface approaches/driveways Vegetation clearing and grubbing Utility adjustments Geotechnical investigationsThis proposed project will comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act; Executive Orders: 11990
