Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Contract for ENTR/MBD

The Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR), in support of Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Program Office (MPO) intends to award a sole source contract to L3 Harris Technologies, San Diego, CA for the continued development, production and sustainment of the Embedded National Tactical Radio (ENTR)/Multi-Band Radio (MBR) under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. L3Harris is the only source with the access to, in depth knowledge of, and expertise associated with the unique ENTR/MBR product baseline that is needed to perform the ENTR/MBR requirements. NAVWAR anticipates a single IDIQ contract with an ordering period of (5) yearsThis notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. However, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
