District 1 Printing Services - Bicycle Maps
File Format PDFX - vendor shall be responsible for all costs associated with reformatting PDFX file
The Department has provided a Bicycle Map Sample within the attachments
Vendors shall be compliant with the attached Federal Assurances as the Department will be utilizing Federal Funds for this procurement.

The Department requires a Vendor to provide Printing Services to produce Bicycle Maps by District.
The Printing Services are broken up into 3 service windows grouping 3 Districts at a time. The time windows are subject to change based on the Department completing

each map by District. The estimated time windows are as follows:
Districts 4, 5 and 6 Begin May 1 2020 End July 31 2020
Districts 1, 3 and 7 Begin August 1 2020 End September 30 2020
Districts 2, 8 and 9 Begin September 1 2020 End October 31 2020

Printing Specifications
Paper stock specifications 50 LB Long Grain, white Recycled Offset, Grade No 3, Brightness 80 Opacity 90 Soybean Oil-Based Inks will be used in printing all version of the Bicycle Maps.
Side 1 Printing Plate for Each Color Four 4 Red, Black Yellow and Blue for Front Side
Side 2 Printing Plate for Each Color Four 4 Red Black Yellow and Blue for Back Side Inset
Banding of Maps should be in Counts of 25 Packed 250 per Carton and be Paper Banding.
No Rubber Bands shall be used by Vendor.
Vendors must be located within Illinois due to travel requirements of approving final production run..
Press Proof Inspection and Final Approval by the Department Mapping Staff shall be at Printing Site.

Delivery Specifications
Boxes shall be packaged by individual Districts with the external siding of the box stating the following: Bicycle Map, District Location, and Number of Bicycle Maps contained within the box.
Pallet size of the runners must be at least 4 Inch and both sides must be the same size (not a 4 Inch on one side and 2 Inch on the other side of pallet). The top layer of the pallet needs to be a full layer. Boxes are not to hang over outside edges of pallet. The pallets shall be stacked 48 cases on shrink wrapped non returnable 4 way pallets with cross runners (top & bottom)
banned together. No partial pallets. The purpose of this instruction is so that the pallets can be stacked on top of one another for warehousing. A 24-hour delivery notice shall be given to the agency prior to the delivery of any maps.
