Special Purpose Munitions, Weapons, and Material Support Services.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command-Armament Center (DEVCOM AC) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source contract to K2 Solutions, Inc. Southern Pines, NC, pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(a)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement is for Special Purpose Munitions, Weapons, and Material Support Services. The resultant contract shall consist of a base year, with four, one-year option periods.For this effort the contractor shall provide operational unit liaisons to the U.S. Special Operations Command (USASOC), and provide mission need coordination, test and evaluation support for special armament systems and components, assessment of new armament systems providing feedback of mission utility, support new program requirements formulation and identification of special emerging military needs for consideration of application of advance energy technology solutions. K2 Solutions is currently the only vendor providing this support to the Department of Defense and there is not a commercial application for this support.THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP).
