NOTICE OF APPLICATION The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that an application was filed by North Pole Utility on April 7, 2017, to amend its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity. North Pole Utility is owned and operated by the City of North Pole (City), a political subdivision of the State of Alaska. North Pole Utility proposes to provide water service within the entire city limits of the City; stating that the utility seeks to expand its service area to allow it to serve properties affected by sulfolane contaminated groundwater and a buffer zone of properties projected to be within the sulfolane plume in the future. Docket No. U-17-020 was opened to address this matter.
No motions for waiver or petitions for confidentiality were filed with this application. The Commission has not assessed the completeness of this application. The Commission may determine whether the application is complete by April 27, 2017.
