Title:  Market Survey/Request for Information: Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.The ESC organization performs market research for a potential enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.  The market research requests an informal price estimate or Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and a product list that may satisfy the high-level requirements listed below.The market research does not establish a pre-competition or develop a competitive pool.  All vendors are not being evaluated in any way.  The market research's sole purpose is information gathering, not marketing prospect.  The information derived from the market research will be used internally by the ESC for analysis purposes, and the associate data will be made proprietary.  All data gathered from the market research will solely be used by the ESC organization and will not be made available to others.1.0         BackgroundThe Enterprise Services Center (ESC) is an organization located at MMAC. ESC operates as a Federal Financial Shared
Service Provider and is one of four federal financial management Centers of Excellence as designated by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to provide integrated business services and solutions to the Federal Government.  ESC resides under FAA’s Regions and Office of Finance and Management (AFN) Line of Business and operates under a “fee-for-service” principle, which encourages business-like decisions creating more cost awareness and increased customer focus.  Its primary purpose is to provide core accounting and application support services for federal government agencies. This service involves the use of multiple Information Technology applications, hosted and managed on behalf of its financial services customers.2.0         Identified RequirementsAssumptions:150+ end usersFedRAMP certificationNo mobile devicesImages will be typical Microsoft products, no heavy Graphics/CPU intensive appsTraining providedCapabilities:Thin-Client on Desktop/LaptopPersistent and non-persistentTypical Desktop Footprint (Windows OS, MS Office)ScalabilityAvailabilityRedundancyMaintainabilityServiceabilitySecurityManageabilityAt this time the nature of the competition has not been determined.  When a Request for Proposal is issued the FAA may decide to issue the Screening Information Request for full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program.Interested sources must respond with information to confirm evidence of their qualifications and capabilities to meet requirements in the attached description.  The FAA intends to review all response submittals to establish the acquisition strategy.Responses will be used for informational purposes only.  This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind.  The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals.  The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey.  Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendors’ expense.3.0         InstructionsResponses, submitted electronically in MS-WORD or Adobe PDF format are limited to 10 pages, excluding a completed Business Declaration, using 12-point Times New Roman front (or similar) with 1-inch margins.  Responses are due no later than 5:00 P.M. (CST) April 1, 2022.  All interested parties must submit their responses via email to abigael.k.schultz@faa.gov.  Questions must be in writing, no phone calls please.  Responses should include “Market Survey Response to VDI” and outline the information in the following categories / format.A.           Capability Statement - This document should identify: Provide a brief description of your company, types of services, business size and point(s) of contact, including name, address, phone and email address.  Include a completed Business Declaration.B.           Questions:Please provide information regarding your available acquisition sources for this requirement.
