REQUEST FOR BIDS


INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT


SHERIFF’S OFFICE VEHICLES

 
New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is
re-advertisingto contract out sheriff vehicle equipment and up-fit installation services.  The original bid was released on August 26, 2021, and bids were received on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 3:00 pm.  The Sheriff’s Office has determined that it was in their best interest to re-advertise as the bids were higher than

their budget.
Notwithstanding, any bidder who submitted a bid may request that their bid be retained and honored for the next bid opening, which is scheduled for
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2021, at 3:00 pm.Bidders may also submit new bids to replace their original bids.
Work shall commence when new vehicles are delivered. Term is for one year with the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods.

The estimated number of vehicles to up-fit during this fiscal year is fifty-two (52).  This includes the following:

There are 29 vehicles for Patrol
There are 14 unmarked
There are 7 SUV
There are 2 Detention

This is subject to vehicle availability from the manufacturers.
The number of vehicles will vary each year as this will be dependent on the Sheriff’s Office approved budget.
Bidders must demonstrate experience including management and completion of vehicle up-fits of similar scope and complexity, where time management, tested systems and delivery schedule are a major consideration. Interested firms shall have been in business for a minimum of two (2) years and shall have adequate staff and expertise to do the work.

New Hanover County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to make the Award/s which will be in the best interest of the County.
