Only those with an approved security form will be granted access to the file.**Wolf Creek & Center Hill Dam Spillway Gates Replacement ProjectsDescription: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District is conducting another virtual Industry Day Presentation on December 9th, 2021 to seek feedback from potential Contractors for the Wolf Creek and Center Hill Dam Spillway Gate Replacement Projects. There will be one (1) contract awarded for each location.The intent of
the Industry Day is for the USACE to present 60% Draft Plans and Specifications, an overview of the major features of work, and a potential concept of construction for the Industry to review. These procurements are expected to be firm fixed-price construction contracts – one (1) contract for each location. USACE seeks feedback from the industry’s perspective towards clarity and constructability of the proposed plan option, and the likelihood of the project being completed within the limitations that will be discussed. USACE will also provide an overview of the anticipated procurement approach for this project.The 60% Draft Plans and Specifications will be uploaded to this website for review prior to the Industry Day – viewable only to those who have received an approved security form (discussed below).Following the Industry Day presentation, questions will be sent to the participating Contractors. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This is a Special Notice and is for planning purposes only, as defined by FAR 15.201. This is not a solicitation announcement, nor is it an Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Proposal (RFP), or Request for Quote (RFQ). No solicitation is currently published. Participation in this conference of any party does not obligate the Government in any contract award. The Government will not pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of such information. The Government is not responsible for any costs associated with; review of the Draft Documents, preparing or submitting comments, or any other efforts toward participation in this conference. Furthermore, the Government is not obligated to compensate respondents for any information received, even if the Draft Documents are revised as a result of a respondent’s comment or question. Respondents should refrain from providing proprietary information in the course of the conference, since any information acquired by the Government in this forum will not be treated as proprietary. Wolf Creek Dam: Fabricate ten (10) new spillway tainter gates & the lifting machinery equipment.        Center Hill Dam: Fabricate eight (8) new spillway tainter gates & the lifting machinery equipment.   2.) Remove and dispose of the existing spillway tainter gates, existing lifting equipment, and lifting equipment machinery bases.   3.) Construct a work platform to install the new spillway tainter gates.   4.) Install the new spillway tainter gates, gate lifting machinery equipment, electrical features, and new lifting gate machinery base.   5.) Modify the bridge to access the lifting machinery equipment for replacement.   6.) Work from the bridge is limited to one (1) lane closure with a few short-term “hourly” road closures for special lifts.The estimated performance period for Wolf Creek is 10-12 years.The estimated performance period for Center Hill is 8 years.The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this acquisition is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. Questions and dialogue with all participants will be encouraged. This conference will conclude by 3:00 PM Central Time.Only registered persons will be permitted to attend the online presentation.
