This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal.  The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with ILLUMINA INCDescriptionMiniSeq SystemIllumina MiniSeq Sequencing System is anintegrated system for automated generation ofDNA clonal clusters by bridge amplification,sequencing, and analysis. System includesembedded touch screen monitor and oninstrumentcomputer, MiniSeq Control Software,Local Run Manager analysis and managementsoftware, installation and training, and 12 monthswarranty (including parts and labor).This Miniseq system is to identify activation pathways in the human and mouse immune system.  To continue to make scientific discoveries that promote the development of new vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics that improve human health.. To maintain research integrity, with patient studies, it is critical that new variables are NOT introduced to the study.   Support of the Division of Intramural Research, NIAID, NIH.  Place of delivery is Bethesda, MD 20892. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements.
