behalf of its Board of Governors (“BOG”) located in Morgantown, West Virginia (“WVU” or “University”) is initiating this Request for Bids (“RFB”) from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors to repair extensive water damage due to a water leak in the exterior flashing systems. The water leak was determined to stem from between the 4th floor and 6th floor around the stairwell adjacent to Apartments 418, 518, and 618. The Project requires the repair and/or replacement of the exterior brick façade systems and interior dormitory systems. The work will require repair of the flashing system behind the façade as described in the attached design documents as well as the repair to the interior dormitory facilities which includes carpet, tile, and drywall. Notations - Required documentation must be submitted under SUPPLIER ATTACHMENTS with Response (bid bond, drug-free affidavit, etc.). - Questions MUST be submitted directly on the solicitation website on the Q&A Board. - Addenda will be posted on the Q&A Board; while the system should generate an automatic email, please be sure to visit the site regularly during this solicitation. - Your bid response MUST be submitted directly on this website in a PDF format (singular PDF is preferred). The Procurement Officer will send the link/invite for the meeting upon request. There will be a Mandatory Site Visit per the following: DATE: April 23, 2024 TIME: 11:00am (or immediately following the prebid) Seneca Hall 2151 University Avenue Morgantown, WV 26506 Site Visit will be for field measurements only. Cutoff for Questions DATE: April 30, 2024 TIME: 12:00pm Solicitation Due Date DATE: May 7, 2024 TIME: 3:00pm - In the event the Due Date changes, it will be posted via addendums on the Q&A Board; the date will not change on this description. Communications The bid/proposal process is highly controlled. To protect the integrity of the process, any questions or clarifications regarding this Request for Bid/Proposal must be handled through the Department of Procurement, Contracting, & Payment Services. Completion Dates The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated below. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed and/or Contact shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion. Substantial Completion shall be August 2, 2024 Final Completion shall be August 9, 2024 Final Completion shall be when project site is de-mobilized and all project documents listed in Close-Out section of the specifications has been sent to the Owner. Liquidated Damages The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be One Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
