Utility Systems Technician I (Water Systems)City of Eau Claire, WIWe need you! To help us meet our mission to provide an uninterrupted water supply to the citizens of Eau Claire! Put your repair experience, knowledge of construction, and desire to be part of a small team to work as a Utility Systems Technician I (Water Systems). We are currently accepting applications in the Utilities Division of the Community Services Department. Duties include: installation of water services, maintaining and repairing valves, gauges, pumps and other related pumping equipment, disinfecting and pressure testing water mains, testing for water leaks in residences and commercial establishments, and more! This position also requires public contact and manual labor. The ideal candidate must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.), have excellent communication and computer skills, and possess or obtain (within 6 months of hire) and maintain a valid Class B CDL license with tanker endorsement and no air brake restrictions. An Associate’s Degree in a related field is preferred. State of Wisconsin DNR certification in Municipal Wastewater and/or Municipal Water Supply with Groundwater and Distribution subgrades is also preferred.  Wage range: $24.06 to $28.02 per hour, plus excellent fringe benefits.
