THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Puget Sound VA Health Care System (VAHCS), intends to enter into a Firm-Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corporation, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) and FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (i), a contract, entitled " Puget Sound VAHCS Fujifilm Imaging Equipment Upgrade and Comprehensive Annual Service". This service will include upgrading existing equipment, testing and calibration, comprehensive service reporting, and onsite repairs. The software, updates, diagnosis, and repair service are proprietary to Fujifilm Healthcare. Fujifilm Healthcare s imaging service does not accept pass-throughs from small businesses awarded SB set-aside contracts. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price type contract. If there are sources able to perform the requirement, they must respond
by submitting a capability statement within 2 days of publication of this synopsis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Proposals received within 2 days of publication of this synopsis will be considered for solicitations in the future. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Deliveries should be hand carried or sent via other mail or package delivery services. No collect calls or facsimile transmissions will be accepted. Respondents may submit their capability statements via e-mail to the point of contact listed in this notice intent synopsis. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the Puget Sound VAHCS to determine if it can meet the above unique specifications described herein. The capability statement must be received in the NCO 20 contracting office on or before 17:00 PM EST on June 7, 2022. All questions must be submitted in writing and can be emailed to Dane Gift, Contracting Officer at
dane.gift@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In order to receive an award, contractors must have valid registration and certification in System for Award Management (SAM).
