The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is soliciting qualified contractors for RFP 44-127, Public Engagement Software Platform, to provide an online civic engagement software platform for the department’s public outreach and engagement efforts, to be received no later than April 16, 2024, by 2:00 PM EST.BackgroundCivic Engagement Enables Montgomery Parks to Move Projects Forward Civic engagement is critical to the mission of Montgomery Parks to ensure that the parks, amenities, and services we provide meet the needs and desires of the people who use them. Additionally, we are committed to fostering equitable engagement among park users to ensure that our projects and initiatives represent the interests and needs of the people who use our parks and facilities. Prior to the development of large-scale projects, we must engage the public as the initial step in our outreach process. We rely heavily on our civic engagement software for communications,
interaction with the public, and to foster participation regarding various plans, projects, and programs via surveys. We use the engagement software for an estimated 20 – 25 projects a year. As a result, the online engagement platform needs to allow the department to connect with the public easily and efficiently through an interface with capabilities to allow the public to share their ideas, comments, and questions related to park projects that are important to them.TimelineSolicitation Release Date:March 13, 2024Pre-Proposal Meeting (Non-Mandatory):March 21, 2024, 1:30pm AgendaA virtual pre-proposal meeting will be held for this solicitation on March 21, 2024 at 1:30 PM EST.
