P22-3478-C3A Sub-BID : Masonry, Waterproofing, Damp-proofing, and Caulking, Metal Windows, Painting Quabbin Administration Building Window Abatement and Replacement This project consists of the removal of asbestos and lead based paint containing materials at window frames and openings, installation of new thermally broken aluminum windows, and masonry repairs to deteriorated lintels and brick masonry within the limits of the window openings and as indicated in the drawings. The estimated project construction cost is $: 1,732,753.00 The work is to be accomplished within 245 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $ 500.00 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). The proposed contract includes a combined requirement of 10.4% of the bid price for minority-owned
business enterprises and women-owned business enterprises. Proposed MBE/WBE plans that include solely MBE or solely WBE , or do not include a reasonable amount by both MBE and WBE firms to meet the combined requirements, will not be considered responsive. The applicable local minority workforce utilization percentage is a minimum requirement of 15.3%. The applicable local women workforce utilization percentage is a minimum requirement of 6.9%. The Commonwealth requires participation of Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (“VOBE”) on its construction projects. The Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise benchmark for this contract is 3.0%. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit, payable to the Department of Conservation and Recreation in the amount of 5% of the bid. The Department reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any and all bids if it be in the public interest to do so. All Bidders Subs and Generals for this project are required to be certified with the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM).
