Triton Ice Protection System TMEDS Removal NRE Modification

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD intends to issue a modification to the existing N00019-22-F-0984 Delivery Order (DO) under the existing N00019-20-G-0005 Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC). The anticipated Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contract modification is for NGSC to add Triton Ice Protection System Thermo-Mechanical Expulsion Deicing System (TMEDS) Removal NRE to the current Ice Shapes contract.This contract modification is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." NGSC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, integrator, and producer of the MQ-4C Triton air vehicles and ground stations.
