         PUBLIC NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board of the Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County, New York will meet at the Town of Smithtown Town Hall, Patrick R. Vecchio Building, 99 West Main Street, Smithtown, New York 11787 at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, to conduct a public hearing pursuant to section 201 of the New York State Eminent Domain Procedure Law at which time all interested parties may appear and be heard.  The purpose of the public hearing is to inform the public and review the public use to be served, of a condemnation of the Two (2) below described vacant properties in Kings Park, Town of Smithtown, New York identified as follows:

PROPERTY NO. 1) Suffolk County Tax Map number 0800-014-03.00-026.000 (Lot one of two), more particularly described as follows:
ALL that certain plot, piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being at Kings Park in the Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County, State of New York, known as designated on a

certain map entitled, “Map of Property belonging to the Kings Park Improvement Company, located at Kings Park, New York, made by F.A. Hawkins, Surveyor”, as and by Lot No. 6 in Section 1 as the same is laid down on said map having been filed in the Suffolk County Clerk’s Office on May 6, 1808, as Map No. 127.

PROPERTY NO. 2) Suffolk County Tax Map number 0800-014-03.00-027.000, more particularly described as follows:
ALL that certain plot, piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being at Kings Park, Town of Smithtown, County of Suffolk and State of New York, and known and distinguished on a certain map entitled, “Map of Property belonging to the Kings Park Improvement Company, located at Kings Park, Long Island, New York, made by T.A. Hawkins, Surveyor”, as and by Part of Lot Number Five (5) in Section One (1) which said part of lot is bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the northwest side of Kings Par-East Northport Road, distant 200.68 feet southwesterly from the extreme southerly end of a line connecting the southwesterly side of Main Street, N.Y.S. 25A with the northwest side of Kings Park-East Northport Road;
RUNNING THENCE along the northwest side of Kings Park-East Northport Road, South 46 degrees 17 minutes 15 seconds West, 50.02 feet;
THENCE North 42 degrees 08 minutes 40 second West, 128.46 feet;
THENCE North 47 degrees 58 minutes 50 seconds West, 50.00 feet;
THENCE South 42 degrees 08 minutes 40 seconds East, 126.98 feet to the point of place of BEGINNING.

The purpose of the condemnation is to acquire the aforementioned two (2) vacant parcels for the use of the general public as municipal parking.
