NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR ACQUISITION OF CONTROLLING INTEREST The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on June 14, 2017, SCRS Acquisition Corporation (SCRS) filed an application to acquire an indirect controlling interest in Securus Technologies, Inc. (Securus) from Securus Investment Holdings, LLC. Securus is authorized to provide intrastate interexchange service under Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) No. 461, and local inmate calling service under CPCN No. 758. Docket No. U-17-040 was opened to address this matter.
In conjunction with its application, SCRS filed a petition for confidential treatment of financial information filed for Platinum Equity Capital Partners IV, L.P. (PECP IV). SCRS, a holding company, and its ultimate parent SCRS Holding Corporation are newly formed entities created for the purposes of this acquisition and do not have historical financial statements. PECP IV is a private-investment fund limited partnership,

and the majority owner of SCRS Holding Corporation. Interested persons may file a response to the petition for confidential treatment with the Commission by 5:00 p.m. July 7, 2017.
The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application. The Commission may determine whether the application is complete after the close of the public comment period.
