The TRC is seeking innovative proposals from experienced real estate developers and builders for the purchase and development of the Village East residential subdivision, a 7.610 acre property located at 1511 E. Avenue E,
Temple, Texas. This property is located in the Ferguson Park Neighborhood Planning District. The City of Temple completed the Ferguson Park Neighborhood Plan in 2019 which identified this property as a unique opportunity for a new residential subdivision to serve as a catalyst project within Ferguson Park. In 2023, the TRC worked with a consultant to create a development package for the Village East property. The area offers close proximity to Adams Avenue (State Highway 53) and Avenue H. Proposals will be considered for developments that may include residential development that meets the intent of the development package or a combination thereof. Developers are encouraged to be creative in their submissions. The TRC seeks a developer who can create a residential development that is compatible with the existing residences within the Ferguson Park neighborhood and builds on the plans the City has created through the Love Where You Build initiative and reflects the recommendations included in the Ferguson Park Neighborhood Plan.
