DRAFT RFP Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) for VA Modernization Efforts

Feedback is requested on the attached DRAFT RFP by 5pm Eastern on Friday August 18th, 2023. The timeline for when the final RFP will be released is yet to be determined, therefore this announcement will remain open until further notice.Related Notice REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - IV&V for VA Modernization Efforts (https://sam.gov/opp/efcb04ff976b4e048fc0186a2af267d1/review)The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requires a comprehensive review, analysis, and testing (software and/or hardware), to be performed by an objective third party to confirm (i.e., verify) that the requirements are correctly defined, and to confirm (i.e., validate) that the system correctly implements the required functionality and security requirements. Bill 1659 is currently awaiting approval that directs the Chief Acquisition Officer of VA to enter into a contract for the independent verification and validation of certain modernization efforts of the Department, and for other purposes. When approved, this Act may be cited as the “Department of Veterans Affairs IT Modernization Improvement Act of 2023”. See link for details:
