208573 Seismic Improvements Phase 5

General: The University of Washington is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified architects/engineers to provide design services for the Seismic Phase 5 project. The University intends to utilize the General Contractor Construction Manager (GC/CM) contracting method for this project. Project Description: The work of this project will be to reinforce URM bearing and non-bearing walls and reinforce parapets to reduce the risk of collapse of building masonry falling from buildings, and include Suzzallo Library, Art Building, and Hec Edmundson Pavilion The University intends to work with the selected team to optimize a phased work approach to ensure that the Suzzallo Library (25-27), the Art building and the Hec Edmundson Pavilion (27-29) are substantially complete based on the State’s biennium funding cycle. The University intends to utilize the General Contractor Construction Manager (GC/CM) contracting method for this project as authorized under RCW 39.10.
