NOTICE TO BIDDERSSealed bids will be received by the Ashland County Commissioners, 110 Cottage Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 until 9:35 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024, for furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment for Structure #1356-10.21 Bridge Replacement. At that time and place the bids will be opened and publicly read.Copies of the plans, specifications, and contract documents are available at a cost of $20.00 per set from the Ashland County Engineer, 1511 Cleveland Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805.Each bidder is required to furnish with the proposal, a Bid Guarantee and a Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety and shall be to the credit of the Ashland County Commissioners. The “Instruction to Bidder Form” found in the bid documents provides specific instructions with regard to Bid Guarantees and

Contract Bonds.Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than November 1, 2024.All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Ashland County, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations.Ashland County may reject any or all of the bids on any basis and without disclosure of a reason.
