Coal Creek Fish Passage Construction Project overview: Trout Unlimited is seeking a contractor to provide equipment, labor, and materials to remove a fish passage barrier culvert and one additional culvert from a private road crossing of Coal Creek. The crossing will be replaced with a 24-foot-long x 12’-6” wide, pre-engineered, and prefabricated concrete bridge planks, abutment wall, wingwalls, and bridge sills. Description of Project: Coal Creek Fish Passage Restoration Project The project includes the following elements: • Removing one 36" dia. x 26' long concrete culvert with cmp extension section and one 24” x 20’ long cmp along with associated fill material from a private road crossing of Coal Creek. • Replacing the crossing with a 24-foot-long x 12’-6” wide, pre-engineered, and prefabricated concrete bridge planks, abutment wall, wingwalls, and bridge sills • Reconstructing a natural stream channel through the crossing • Placing streambed gravel mix on the re-grade slopes
beneath the bridge. • Reconstructing the paved driveway approach roadway to new bridge and to improve drainage runoff away from the creek.
