School Bus Transportation Service Project Description :With the challenges of increasing enrollment, the LRSD wants to maintain, implement, administer and provide a safe, efficient, cost-effective transportation system that meets the needs of eligible students, parents/guardians, schools and staff. With respect to the delivery of transportation services to our students, the LRSD will consider qualified and quality bus operators with a demonstrated safety and service record as paramount. At the same time, it is necessary to provide quality service while being fiscally responsible to ratepayers and stakeholders in education. The LRSD is accepting proposals to provide student transportation services for its 40 schools. We are looking for a contractor who will provide student transportation services to all its students utilizing a transportation service model that combines contractor owned, operated, maintained buses and divisionally owned buses staffed by the contractor.
