Confederation College’s Thunder Bay campus contains a variety of High Intensity Discharge (HID) streetlights and parking lot lights. The intent of this project is to convert all HID streetlights and parking lot lights on the Thunder Bay campus and Aviation Site to LED. The project includes modifications to the luminaires, poles, and bases of lighting standards throughout both project sites. The work varies by lighting standard location and is detailed on the engineering drawings. There are approximately 200 lighting standards being

modified as part of the project scope. (exact number and work to be verified with engineering drawings) The project is primarily electrical, with some earthworks and concrete work required for relocation of feeders and installation and/or replacement of concrete bases for streetlighting standards. The project also includes miscellaneous works such as a 100A electrical panel replacement, modifications to the system voltage source for roadway lighting systems, and re-feeding of some streetlighting standards.
