Notice of Intent to Sole Source RequirementThe Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, VISN 10 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 13.106, for the following item listed below. The associated NAICS code for this is 339113. The vendor will be the Arjo Inc., 2349 West Lake Street, Addison, Illinois 60101.Description of equipment requirements:- Patient Amputee Sling Washable Straps for the Arjo Inc Ceiling Lifts with associated hardware. The warrantee of the chair lift and liability of the slings will transfer to the supplier of the sling straps. Arjo Inc only guarantees the performance and safety liability of their equipment with their slings.A firm fixed price contract with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement for their own patented patient chair lifts for the Marion, Indiana veterans nursing care facility. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. This is a 24-hour notice.
