Do we paint the outside of the bowl assembly if it is 316ss? Do we paint the column pipe? If so, is it a spray epoxy or a fusion bonded epoxy? AnswerAnswer: The 316 SS pump bowl assembly exterior shall be coated and lined. It isn't required when the 8rd thread is used although it is our practice to strap the first couple of column connections above the bowl assembly. Can we provide 8 round thread column? Neither of which is appropriate for this type of pumping unit. Suggest requiring the 3/4" taper 8-round thread form with API long recessed couplings having the same thread.
