Youth Jobs Request for Proposals Sponsor:Office of Violence Prevention Procurement Type:Request for Proposals and or Qualifications Starting Date:02-09-2024 Closing Date:04-05-2024 Closing Time:11:59 PM SummaryThe City of Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) are seeking proposals from qualified nonprofit organizations to provide employment programs to youth between the ages of 12-24 years old. Programs may also seek to establish, develop, and instill life skills that encourage and prepare youth for future opportunities. The goal is to reduce the likelihood of youth involvement in criminal activity. The purpose of this RFP is to appropriate $600,000 annually available to appropriate for programs that provide employment opportunities for youth. No contact with other City employees is permitted. Unauthorized contact regarding this RFP may result in disqualification or rejection of a proposal. Questions may be submitted no later than 11:59pm on February 25, 2024. The Office of Violence Prevention will maintain a list of all firms or individuals requesting copies of the RFP and will ensure that copies of all questions and responses shall be made available in writing to each firm on such a list, when requested.
