 This announcement constitutes a sources sought synopsis for written information only.  This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and a contract will not be awarded from this announcement. This sources sought notice is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response.  Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) is seeking Long Lead Time Material for use in the Boat Davit Parts P/N 56W4-S100, only the material items listed in the table below, shall be used on the DDG 51 Class vessels. No similar or substitute items have been authorized. Further inspections, engineering testing and approvals must be needed to use similar or substitute items, which will inevitably jeopardize the production completion date (PCD) that has been scheduled and will in turn negatively affect the USS COLE's mission. Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) intends to solicit and negotiate with only

one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a) (1) FAR 6.302-1(b) (1) "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements."  "When there is a reasonable basis to conclude that the agency's minimum needs can only be satisfied by - (i) Unique supplies or services available from only one source or only one supplier with unique capabilities." The MARMC of Norfolk, Virginia is seeking to identify qualified and experienced sources to furnish parts listed below to be used in COLE'S FY-18 EDSRA will be installed by the LMA per
