The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Regionin Albany, New York, aims to strengthen the community through philanthropy. The foundation invites applications for the B’nai B’rith Gideon Foundation, which was established to support rental housing and/or related social and recreational facilities for low-income elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and families of low-income residents living in rental housing in New York State’s capital region. Organizations may apply for up to $25,000 in funding.To be eligible, applicants must be tax-exempt as defined by section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and serve residents and be located within the 10-county Capital Region of New York State, which includes the counties of Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, and Washington.Pre-application questionnaires are due April 17, 2024, and upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a formal application, due in June 2024.For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region
