Davis Wastewater Treatment Plant Access Hatch Replacements at various locations within the plant will be received by the Owner in the North Charleston Sewer District Administrative Offices until 2:00 P.M. on June 29, 2022 and then at said place be publicly opened and read aloud. To qualify to submit, all bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting on, June 15, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Felix C. Davis Wastewater Treatment Plant at 1000 Herbert Street, North Charleston, SC. Attendance at this meeting and visits to all six project sites at the Plant are prerequisites to submitting a bid. Bidders must deposit security with all bids. Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner, and shall be for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Provisions of the security shall be as described in the Information for Bidders. No bid will be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor’s Licensing Law (South Carolina Code of Laws as amended on April 1, 1999, Chapter 11, Sections 40 11 10 through 40 11 428). Contractors shall have a classification of BD4. No bidder may withdraw the bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening and thereof.
