N. Public Road Sanitary Sewer Main Extension

INVITATION TO BID I. RECEIPT OF BIDS Sealed Proposals will be received by the City of Lafayette in the Council Chambers, at 1290 South Public Road, Lafayette, Colorado 80026 until 11:00 am local prevailing time on November 7, 2019 for the N. Public Road Sanitary Sewer Main Extension project in accordance with the Plans, Contract Documents and Specifications prepared by Sorenson Engineering, Inc. II. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The N. Public Road City Sanitary Sewer Main Extension Site is located in the parking lot of 211 N. Public Road, Lafayette, CO. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to furnishing labor, materials and equipment for the construction of the following: An extension of the sewer main is to be constructed within the parking lot. Existing sanitary sewer service lines (4) that are currently routed through the parking lot are to be redirected to the new main. Existing service lines will be cleanly cut and tied-in to the new sanitary sewer force main via new WYE

connection (1) or direct connection to manholes (3). Abandoned sanitary sewer lines (4’-6”) are to be plugged with concrete. 1. New Sanitary Sewer Manhole 2 EA 2. DOCUMENT INSPECTION AND PROCUREMENT The Contract Documents are available on the City of Lafayette website at: http://www.cityoflafayette.com/bids. BONDS Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee bond, or a certified or cashier's check payable to the order of the City of Lafayette in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the Contract, if awarded, in conformity with the bid form. The bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and Payment Bond acceptable to the City of Lafayette for 100% of the Contract Price for each bond, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. V. CONTRACT AWARD The Contract will be awarded or bids rejected no earlier than November 19, 2019. The City of Lafayette reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive any informalities in bidding or to accept the Bid or Bids that best serve the interest of the City. VI. SCHEDULE Time for completion of the Work as proposed by the Contractor will be as required in the Contract Documents. The current schedule calls for award of the Contract on or about November 19, 2019. The Contract Time shall commence to run on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
