Desert Sage Food Supplies and Delivery Service

Apr 14, 2017 2:15 pm Desert Sage Youth Wellness Center, Youth Regional Treatment Center (YRTC), Hemet, CA, to procure a wholesale food service supplier/distributor for the Food Service Program at the YRTC. Required services needed are to provide the Desert Sage YRTC with the capability to select, purchase food supplies, and have a regular delivery service to the facility of regularly selection of items made, on a "as needed" basis for items in order to provide a full-service food program for weekday evening dinners, as well as weekend and holiday breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack services.
The facility will house up to 32 adolescent youths with substance abuse and behavior health issue. The facility will be a 24/7, residential treatment center, with resident's (admitted "patient" ages 12 to 17) average stay being 120 days. . The period of performance shall be for one-year "Base" period of performance with four, one-year options available to be exercised in accordance

with FAR 52.217-9 Option to Extend the Services. CAIHS estimated delivery to being in mid-May 2017.The contractor is to provide the ordering systems, supply listing of items available to purchase, bi-weekly delivery service in order to provide food items to the facility regularly. The Government will provide the listing of required items in advance to the contractor and any changed will be at the Government expense. Regularly scheduled deliveries to the facility are required for these items on a bi-weekly basis to ensure full coverage of food items available to all patients/staff at the facility. This is a commercial firm fixed priced contract and is Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable please see clause FAR 52.212-2 Evaluations for factors for the award.
Due to the current continuing resolution (CR) within the federal government, this California Area IHS (CAIHS) award will be made after 28Apr17 and is subjected to funding availability FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds. CAIHS intends to award this after the CR is over, but without funding for the next budget or revised CR is currently not available. Please ensure pricing is current for 30 days until we have the available funds to award Purchase Order.
