This solicitation is intended to identify a consultant to study Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology and the impact, economic and otherwise, of including or excluding BESS technology in California contractor license classifications. Specifically, the consultant would review BESS information the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) has received to date, perform additional fact finding as necessary, and provide an analysis regarding BESS installation issues, including safety concerns and the appropriate contractor license classification(s) to install BESS, in order to answer the five (5) issues presented by this
