The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has a requirement to establish a five (5) year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for an Independent Public Accountant (IPA). The IPA shall provide accurate, timely, and efficient accounting; financial statement compilation; on-site support with Attorney General Exempt Operations (AGEO) reviews; and training related to the AGEO financial process. The IPA shall prepare financial reports each fiscal month based upon monthly bank statements and documentation provided by DEA personnel. The IPA shall review all supporting documentation; e.g., purchase orders, paid invoices, etc. for proper approval (as evidenced by DEA management signatures). To accomplish the work requirements identified above, the IPA shall: * Be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), currently licensed to practice; * Have a working knowledge of DEA and DOJ AGEO guidelines and policies; * Procure all documentation from DEA personnel as required to prepare AGEO financial statements; * Prepare and disseminate AGEO financial statements; * Travel to DEA Field Divisions to support on-site IN AGEO reviews and to conduct AGEO financial training as needed; * Conduct AGEO financial training at the annual OE AGEO Administrative Conference * Obtain favorable adjudication of a Public Trust Investigation.
