Security. This program must be designed to provide the Signal Soldier with sufficient foundational knowledge to be successful in increasingly challenging technical environments associated with their specific Military Occupational Specialty.Required Learning Outcomes:1. Safely and efficiently assemble and operate and desktop and laptop computer.2. Safely and efficiently maintain and troubleshoot hardware components of a desktop and laptop computer as well as exhibit understanding of common computer hardware faults and solutions.3. Efficiently manage a computer operating system by navigating windows desktop, operating computer panel utilities, operating administrative tools, and overall operating system management.4. Efficiently configure network printers to include varied printer types, installation of local and shared printers, identifying printer settings, printer queues, share settings, printer servers, and initial set up and configuration.5. Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot local and network printers including, printer preventative maintenance procedures and finding solutions for faulty printers.6. Effectively and efficiently identify network concepts by defining a network, identify network components, describe the OSI model, describe the ICP/IP model, describe network types, and describe network architecture.7. Effectively and efficiently construct and test an Ethernet cable according to industry standards.8. Effectively and efficiently develop a subnet showing understanding of IP address concepts, perform binary conversion, and calculate subnet masks.9. Effectively and efficiently configure a LAN to include configuration of the router, switch, and wireless access point (WAP).10. Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot a network showing understanding of network troubleshooting utilities and how they are used, troubleshooting procedures, and solutions to common network problems.11. Effectively and efficiently Identify and implement basic security applications including demonstrated understanding of different types of security threats, data protection, security software tools, equipment protection, and solutions for common security problems.12. Effectively and efficiently complete an integrated evaluation event (capstone, practical exercise, etc) showing mastery of all learning outcomes.Required Information:• Length of training• Per student cost for a maximum load of 200 students in separate classes over 6 months.• Facility requirements to conduct training.• A detailed performance work statement (PWS) on how you can meet this requirement.
