Campground Wireless Internet Services The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified Proponents to provide managed Wireless Internet Services to campground occupants at Winnipeg Beach and Birds Hill Provincial Parks as well as Falcon Beach campground in Whiteshell Provincial Park. The services provided will enable customers at the campground, direct access to the Internet using wireless enabled devices that
support the 802.11 b/g/n protocols. Proponents should provide information on support for 802.11ac or ax, and the ability to support other related future technologies as they are established.
The service should provide for wireless Internet access at defined “hot-spots” in an outdoor environment; however, the transmitting devices will be situated so as to be protected from the elements by existing structures, however there are no temperature/humidity controls within the structures themselves.
The Successful Proponent will be responsible for providing the hardware, and all aspects of its installation, operation, maintenance, removal and overall management of the Wireless Internet service. Manitoba will not own the network, nor be responsible for the maintenance, operation, upgrades, or providing support to system users. Campground customers must be able to contact the Successful Proponent regarding Internet access issues.
