REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS Design-Build Services for Shelter #4 Playground at Tanglewood Park RFQ23148 issue date: 11.21.22 Pursuant to N.C. Statute Sec. 143-128.1(A), the County of Forsyth is soliciting proposals from qualified design-build teams interested in providing professional design and construction services for the Forsyth County Playground Project. Three proposals must be received in order to award a contract from this solicitation. This RFQ provides complete information on the services being sought, the submittal requirements and timeline. Questions are to be directed to Chris Weavil at weavilcs@forsyth.cc by the question period deadline of 5:00 pm, December 1, 2022. Project Summary: Turn-key Design-Build project. Demo existing equipment, all site work including grading, drainage, curbing, poured-in-place safety surfacing on 1.5" asphalt & install playground equipment. Equipment to include an age 2-5 section, age 5-12
section, swings and track-ride. 10,000 sf area. This RFQ will in no manner be construed as a commitment on the part of the County to award a contract. The County reserves the right to reject any or all applications; to waive minor irregularities in the RFQ process or in the applications; to re-advertise this RFQ; to postpone or cancel this process; select and procure parts of services; and to change or modify the RFQ schedule at any time. The County of Forsyth reserves the right to reject any and all submittals. This RFQ does not obligate the County to pay any cost incurred by respondents in the preparation and submission of a response nor does it obligate the County to accept or contract for any expressed or implied services.
