Food and Food Supplies (Non-National School Lunch Program)

The purpose of this solicitation is to establish providers for the purchase of food, food supplies, and other food service products, equipment, and services as needed, (excluding the National School Lunch Program) for culinary classroom products, school and department use, and various other needs for the School District of Manatee County. Contractors are to provide firm, fixed percentage (%) discounts off published catalogs/manufacturer’s published price list(s) or other verifiable price discount structure on a variety of products. Specifications and the quality standards of service are set forth in this bid. This is not an all or none bid. The District intends to award this solicitation to multiple suppliers, as best meets the needs of the District. It is anticipated that the bidder(s) who propose the best pricing may be utilized in a larger capacity, however the District may choose any awarded supplier to provide these services that best meets its needs. This may include but is not limited to pricing, product variety, scheduling, etc. Contract Value: No guarantee is given or implied as to the total dollar value of this bid. It is not possible to predict the volume of sales any one vendor might receive from this bid. The decision to order from a specific Contractor belongs to District personnel. No guarantee is made or implied as to the actual total dollar amount of purchases that may be purchased as a result of this bid. Due to various circumstances, order volume may increase or decrease throughout the contract period. NOTE: The Contractor must agree that during a declared disaster situation that any bid items with a markup will be billed at actual cost without any mark-up
