Commodes2324-043Closing Date: 10/02/2023 04:00:00 PM ET Detail: 2324-043 Purpose of the Procurement This Request for Supplier Qualifications is issued by UHN for the purpose of soliciting Proposals from interested Proponents for the creation of a VOR List for commodes, hydraulic and non-hydraulic. Estimated Contract Award Date The Work is to be performed from the contract award date (anticipated to be November 2023) for a period of 3 year plus 2 additional option years. Options The description of any options as follows: N/A Recurring Contracts For recurring contracts, an estimate, if possible, of the timing of subsequent notices of intended procurement. Recurring Contract is defined as a procurement resulting in the award of more than one contract, or in award of contracts in separate parts. N/A Deliverables The deliverables are listed as follows: In the future, Lyndhurst Centre will have a fleet of commodes with sizes and features to support the needs of patients with SCI, however
there will be more standardization in the overall fleet. The fleet will be updated on an annual basis to ensure commodes that are outdated or in disrepair are replaced regularly. This will result in reduced staff complaints and improved patient and staff satisfaction and will ensure less commodes are out of circulation for repairs or missing parts. Commodes will be more ergonomic for staff & patients resulting in less muscular skeletal injuries and easier bowel care. Commode features required include the following: tilt in space, adjustable, padded head support, adjustable height foot support, padded seat, removable and adjustable seat to rotate cut out for access, flip-back padded arm rests, self-propelled and attendant propelled, swiveling front castors, brakes, solid or tension adjustable backrest and floor to seat pan adjustability. The objective of this project is to ensure that the Lyndhurst Centre (LC) has an up-to-date and comprehensive commode fleet to meet patient needs. This will be addressed by: 1) Replacing outdated and broken commodes 2) Standardizing & streamlining the processes for the purchase of new commodes 3) Standardizing the fleet of commodes while ensuring commode types and features address specialized patient needs in terms of size and features 4) Ensuring commode parts are readily available to provide timely, ongoing maintenance 5) Ensuring commodes are ergonomically safe and easy to use for staff and patients Submissions and Opening The deadline for submissions is 10/02/2023 16:00:00 ET.
