Zumro Tech Decon System

The National Institutes of Health intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Air Shelters USA LLC.The Office of Research Services needs to purchase Zumro Tech Decon System. Air Shelters USA, LLC is the sole manufactures of the brand; Zumro rapid inflatable decontamination shelters designed for the specific and technical environmental needs of the NIH that shall be used for emergency response to chemical, radiological and biological release incidents on the NIH Campus and surrounding communities. Air Shelters USA, LLC has proprietary air frame structures, connector features and equipment that no other manufacture can produce that reduce deployment time, maintenance training and storage of the system. The air frame structures allow for repositioning after deployment due to environmental shifts and secondary contamination from wind movement of byproducts of the incident. The oversized air frame structure allows for the highest safety factor in the industry, so mitigation of the

contained patients, equipment and shelters will be completed when the mission dictates.ResponsesThe proposed acquisition action is for items and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b).
