The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD intends to award a sole source contract to Orbital Sciences Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems, Inc., for the Full Rate Production (FRP) Lot 14, with Option years for Lots 15, 16, & 17, of the GQM-163A surface launched aerial target system that emulates the anti-ship cruise missile in support of weapon system test and evaluation. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be Firm Fixed price for the procurement of GQM-163A aerial base target vehicles, in estimated quantities of up to 24 for each FRP lot. The procurement will also include, but is not limited to, related equipment, Mission Kits, Replenishment Spares and Advance Long Lead Steel in support of Production; technical support services and related supplies; Service Life Extensions (SLE); and technical and administrative data. The contractor will be responsible for the services and support to ensure that hardware will
be available to support future launch operations. The anticipated contract will fulfill the needs of the U.S. Navy as well as potential FMS customers.
