Notice of Intent to Sole Source toPerkinElmer Health Services, Inc.(SS-NIH-6604008)The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to PerkinElmer Health Sciences Inc., 710 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton, CT 06484-4794In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the services for the requirement described below.To comply with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations we utilize the PerkinElmer Wizard 2480 Gamma Counter to measure and identify the radioactive isotopes in liquid and solid radioactive waste generated by NIH researchers at the NIH main campus and satellite locations for proper disposal and treatment at offsite facilities per NRC regulations and requirements.This acquisition is to purchase one PerkinElmer Wizard 2480 Gamma counter to replace the counter we are currently using in our analytical lab. The new counter must have the ability to identify more than one radionuclide

per counting cycle. PerkinElmer is the equipment manufacturer. The equipment setup and operation will meet the safety and regulatory requirements of the NIH Chemical/Radioactive Waste Contract and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any party that believes it can fulfill the requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates its ability to satisfy the requirement, and proof that it is an authorized reseller of PerkinElmer equipment. A determination by the Government to complete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.It is anticipated that an award will be issued within ten (10) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another organization has the capability to meet this requirement.Please email responses to Helen.otubu@nih.gov no later than 12:00 p.m. EST on Friday, March 29, 2023.
