Harris, Procurement Supervisor Owner's Agent Port of San Diego 1400 Tidelands Ave National City, CA 91950 Description Scope of Services The Work Includes: A. Elevator Refurbishment 1. Demolition and disposal of existing components indicated to be removed in preparation for the elevator refurbishment work. 2. Furnish and install equipment as specified, utilizing existing and/or modified hoistways and machine rooms hoistways and machine rooms. 3. Installation of Local Area Network (LAN) cabling in hoistways and machine rooms. 4. Provide all required staging, hoisting and movement of new equipment, reused equipment, or removal of existing equipment. B. Elevator Maintenance 1. Interim Preventive Maintenance – Provide required and applicable preventative routine maintenance on four (4) elevators. Interim Preventive Maintenance will proceed upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed for a duration of the construction contract. Refer to the terms and conditions of Exhibit B – Maintenance Service Agreement. 2. Routine Preventive Maintenance – Provide required and applicable preventative routine maintenance on four (4) elevators. Routine Preventive Maintenance will proceed upon Final Acceptance of Base Bid Schedule A and Additive Bid Schedule C (if awarded) work for a duration of one (1) year. Refer to the terms and conditions of Exhibit B – Maintenance Service Agreement. 3. As-needed Maintenance Repairs - Provide required and applicable repairs for one year after final acceptance by the District. As-needed maintenance repairs are identified as repair work on existing material/equipment that are not included for refurbishment or modernization. As-needed Maintenance Repairs will proceed upon Final Acceptance of Base Bid Schedule A and Additive Bid Schedule C (if awarded) work for a duration of one (1) year. Refer to the terms and conditions of Exhibit B – Maintenance Service Agreement. C. Additive Bid Schedule C - Elevator Machine Upgrade & Cab Interior Improvements 1. Demolition and disposal of existing components indicated to be removed in preparation for the elevator machine upgrade & cab interior improvements work. 2. Replace existing geared machines, deflector, governor rope tension sheaves, and frames with new gearless machines, new sheaves, and frames at 4 elevators. 3. Cab interior improvements which includes upgrades to car walls, flooring finishes, ceiling finishes, car door finishes, sills, handrails, lights and wiring. D. Other work - shall include, but not limited to the following: preparation, implementation and maintenance of construction BMP’s Plan in all locations; video recording of daily construction progress; traffic control; staging of work to provide portion of parking lot to be available to the public and pedestrian access and other work as shown on the drawings and as specified.
