The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, is soliciting a requirement for a firm fixed price construction contract to remove and replace the existing medium-voltage cables for each of the four (4) generating units at the Center Hill Power Plant, Lancaster, Tennessee, with new 15kV MV-105 cables and associated Class lA terminations.The types of work and skill sets for this requirement include, but not limited to::--Modification, installation, termination, and testing of medium-voltage (greater than 480V to 35kV) power house bus work and cables;--Dissemble and removal of medium voltages cables and associated Class lC terminations;--Procurement and installation of lSkV MV-105 cables and associated Class 3 terminations;--Procurement and installation of temporary lSkV Feeders complete with cable tray and/or cable supporting system;--Development of asbestos abatement plans associated with power plant cable systems and abatement of asbestos in accordance with approved
plans;--Development of environmental mitigation plan for oil and lead removal;--Perform special factory and special field tests of new cable systemsA site visit is tentatively scheduled for the week of March 15, 2021. Due to the soical distancing guidelines provided by the CDC because of COVID-19, no more than two (2) company representatives will be allowed to attend the site visit. Each individual will be responsible providing his/her own safety equipment (i.e. hard hats, steel toed safety shoes, etc.). Face coverings/masks will be REQUIRED.Questions regarding this project must be submitted in writing to Contract Specialist Kristal Jones at Krista l.R. JOnes@usace .arm y.mil. Please include the solicitation number and/or the name of the project in the subject line of your e­ mail.UPDATE 10 March 2021: The organized site visit for this project is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Additional details regarding meeting place and time will be provided once the complete solicitation package has been posted to beta SAM. Contractors who are interested in attending the site visit are strongly encouraged to submit the site visit request form as soon as possible to avoid missing the submission deadline for the forms.UPDATE 22 March 2021: The organized site visit for this project is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Additional details regarding meeting place and time will be provided once the complete solicitation package has been posted to beta SAM. Contractors who are interested in attending the site visit are strongly encouraged to submit the site visit request form as soon as possible to avoid missing the submission deadline for the forms. UPDATE 31 March 2021: The organized site visit for this project is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Additional details regarding meeting place and time will be provided once the complete solicitation package has been posted to beta SAM. Contractors who are interested in attending the site visit are strongly encouraged to submit the site visit request form as soon as possible to avoid missing the submission deadline for the forms.UPDATE 22 April 2021: Upload of Amendment 1 and site visit sign-in sheet.UPDATE 11 May 2021: Upload of Amednemt 2 and associated documents.
