The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award a sole source contract in accordance with IAW FAR 13.106-1(b), to Biomerieux Inc, Address, as the only responsible source to provide a Vitek 2XL Microbiology Analyzer System. Pipettor/Dilutor Kit (21219) - Qty 2/caseThe Biomerieux VITEK 2XL system is the specialized equipment used to support MRSN’s mission of conducting epidemiological surveillance of multi-drug resistant organisms (MDROs) to enhance performance improvement and infection control across the DOD. Purchase of the equipment maintenance and supplies will help MRSN to respond successfully to its expanded mission per the CARB mandate. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334516 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000 employees and FSC 6630.This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.102(a)(3). USAMRAA intends to release a solicitation no sooner than fifteen (15) calendar days after publishing this synopsis. This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Meaningful submissions received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
