This is a Sources Sought Notice. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking qualified sources to perform SSDG major overhaul onboard the USCGC BERTHOLF (WMSL 750) home ported in Alameda, California 94501. The planned period of performance will be on or about July 8, 2019 through August 23, 2019. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated for award.The information obtained from this notice is for market research only and will be used to determine the method of procurement including whether to set-aside the procurement for small business or other set-aside programs. Volt AC, 3 Phase, 60 Hz Auxiliary Main Machinery Room (5-36-01-E)3512B No.2 Ship Service Diesel Generator,1360 KW, 450 Volt AC, 3 Phase, 60 Hz Forward Main Machinery RoomThe contractor shall provide the services of a certified Technical Representative, who is familiar with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Caterpillar Inc. (CAT) SSDG to accomplish the tasks. Any replacement parts used on the engine shall be certified Caterpillar parts.Interested parties must submit the following:(a) Company name, business size status (i.e., small, large, 8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.)(b) Capability to perform work similar to the above work items.(c) Past performance information to demonstrate successful completion as a prime contractor of projects similar in scope and complexity to the work items above.
